The first question to settle before this new writing adventure is: in which language should I write?

The contenders line up like old friends at a café table. German—the language I became almost fluent in and the one I’ve spoken the longest in my life so far. French—my mother tongue, the language of my childhood, my neighbours, and my daily croissant. And English—the language that somehow elbowed its way to the front and became the one I use most naturally at home and in everyday life.

French feels like home, German like a well-worn coat, and English like my favourite pair of shoes—comfortable, familiar, and ready for anything.

And since artificial intelligence now translates faster than I can say bonjour, the barrier of language has all but vanished.

So, after much reflection (and perhaps a little laziness), I’ll stick to English—for clarity, comfort, and because it simply feels right.

Besides, if I ever change my mind, my friendly neighbourhood AI can always whisper the translation in your ear.
